OR
Another explanation is that Guildford received a number of female fire fighters from Scandinavian countries, who were trained in pump operation etc. and were allocated a base in Guildford at the Warren Road Hospital (not far from Ladymead). Because of the heavy manual work they never attended incidents without male support but possibly this location was designated A3Z. |
